IN-PERSON Workshop: Wet Felt a Personal Meditation Mandala (LIVE, 3-Day Wet Felting Class)

This LIVE, 3-day, IN-PERSON workshop was specifically designed to teach multiple techniques of wet-felting that will be experienced in the creation of a Mandala.

Using wet felt as our medium, we will explore the use of mandalas in world wide art, the rhythmic physical action of working in the round and geometric and organic designs that have personal meaning. Your finished piece may be utilized as a focal point in meditation, as wall art, as a table topper or even as a light weight rug.

Join in the fun of sharing and creating while learning new techniques that amplify your personal design. Enjoy the the journey as much as the finished product!

Completed project will be 28" approx. Diameter. “Pre-homework” to be completed week prior.

Class is generally 9AM-2PM with a break for lunch.

Investment: $325 + $25 cash materials fee paid at time of class.

We will be using a wide variety of materials– handmade prefelt, wool and silk fibers, novelty ribbons and threads, and gauze-weight new and upcycled silks. You’ll have time to learn from me and each other as well as work with friends in a group setting.

We look forward to sharing this fun and meditative practice with you!

Instructor: Susan A Thompson
Duration: 3 days spaced with a day off between days 2 and 3 (e.g. Mon./ Tues./ Thurs.)
